Exercise: Practice with the symptom characteristics compass on client examples

Task

Practise extracting and researching information about the client’s symptoms:

• Which columns in the compass fit?
• Which brain layers/tissues can be involved?
• Does it seem to be a stress phase, regeneration phase, healing peak or recurring pattern?
• The wiki gives us examples of typical emotional themes, thoughts and possible META-meanings.
• Often we also want to research the internet, especially about the meaning of medical terms and diagnoses. When we hear about a diagnose, we always ask the client about their perceived symptoms!
  To know where to place the symptoms teaches us to perceive layers/levels of stress and helps to avoid secondary stress that accumulates.
  We keep an open mind about how to be in rapport with the client and how to work to reduce and resolve their physical and emotional suffering.
